Randi Frank Consulting, LLC conducted Police Chief Executive Searches for the Town of New Milford, Town of Bloomfield and the City of Bridgeport. Even though the process was the same for each, the type of candidates sought were very different due to the needs of the community. The process used to determine the requirements of each community include various meetings with elected officials, staff, management, CEO, police personnel and various community groups. As a result of the meetings, a profile was developed that highlighted the community, the police department, the issues facing the new Police Chief, etc. Ms. Frank’s personal and professional attention to the needs of the community and detailed screening of the candidates assists the towns with finding the right candidate for them. New Milford hired Shawn Boyne a Commanding Officer for the State Police and Resident Trooper. Bloomfield hired Paul Hammick a Deputy Chief from Hartford Police. Bridgeport hired Deputy Chief and Acting Police Chief Joseph Gaudett.
Randi Frank Consulting, LLC teamed with Slavin Management Consultants to assist the Norwich, Connecticut City Council in the selection of a new City Manager in 2007. In 2008 we returned to work with the new City Manager and the newly elected City Council to set goals and objectives. The top 10 goals and objectives were mutually agreed upon through open discussions and rankings to direct the City Manager and let him know the Council’s priorities for the next fiscal year. The process entailed meeting with appropriate stakeholders to determine what key qualifications, skills, abilities were needed, along with the issues and projects that will face the new Manager. We then put this information into a specialized profile to share with potential candidates.
